The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science is the oldest higher education center for mathematics in Iran, which has had the highest contribution in training experts of the different branches of mathematical sciences. TheMaster's and Doctorate programs in Mathematics were launched in 1958 and 1988, respectively. This School was recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran in 2001. At present, this Center of Excellence continues its activities under the name of «Biology – Mathematics».
